Today was elementary Rock Your School day! Fun and learning went hand in hand. Teachers planned for a day of engaging activities all centered around a sports theme. Classrooms were filled with talking, teamwork, laughing, and games all while learning. Several students said it was the best day yet!!!

Mrs. Presley's class returned from Spring Break, and their classroom was transformed into a campground! They had a campout day complete with camping-themed math and rhyming, flashlight reading, and they even got to eat s’mores! It was a fun way to come back from break with some engaging learning!

Our library celebrated Read Across America week last week. Our kindergarten and first-grade classes did activities that went along with Dr. Seuss's books. Kindergarten did a color scavenger hunt that went along with Green Eggs and Ham, and first grade did a dot marker activity that went along with 10 Apples Up On Top. We also ended the week with a reading-buddy activity in which our upper-elementary students paired with our Primary students to read with them! It was a lot of fun! Thank you to our wonderful librarians, Mrs. Mayes and Mrs. Baker, for putting this on!

Congratulations to our February staff member of the month. Ms. Wolfe teaches 8th grade English and Reading. Students said this about Ms. Wolfe: "she works hard to provide the best education and holds her students to a high standard", "she is a great teacher and she is very engaged when she teaches us. I love having her as a teacher and I have learned so much." Congratulations Ms. Wolfe!!!!
