**Information for Prospective Board Members
The Marietta Public Schools Board of Education consists of elected community members who help ensure all of our students receive the high-quality education they deserve. Our board members meet regularly to set district goals and discuss matters relating to school policy, budget allocations, and staff evaluations.
We welcome the public at our regular school board meetings. All of our meetings take place at 6:30 p.m. at the following address:
Administration Building, South Stem Classroom, 408 Indian Way, Marietta
All public schools operate according to the state laws and the policies that the State Board of Education establishes. These laws and policies change virtually every time the Legislature meets. We hope our community will actively participate in the business of running our schools. The Marietta Board of Education will conduct regularly scheduled meetings, and we welcome the public to attend.
