Congratulations to Juniors Joan Vega and Emily Faulkenberry. Joan and Emily were finalists in this year’s REA Youth Tour Essay Contest and presented their essays at a banquet on February 8th. Joan placed 5th and won a cash prize. Emily placed 2nd and won an all-expenses paid trip to Washington DC this summer. We are very proud of the way Joan and Emily represented Marietta High School and are happy to celebrate their accomplishments with them!

Congratulations to Emily Faulkenberry for being named the National FCCLA Member of the Month from Oklahoma for February 2024. Emily is a junior at Marietta High School and is the daughter of Bobby and Amanda Faulkenberry.
Recently 7th graders Keegan Roach, Chelsie Burchfield and Stetson Willis performed with SCOBDA Honor Band in which they auditioned and were selected from 7th grade band students across the state. Way to go Keegan, Chelsie and Stetson!!
Congratulations to the January Middle School Teacher of the Month, Mrs. Jami Bruce. This is her first semester teaching the 7th grade English and Reading after teaching 9 years in Callisburg, TX.
