Congratulations Ms. Julie Salas for being selected February Middle School teacher of the month. Ms. Salas has been teaching Special Education for 3 years. The students said " she is always willing to help others without any hesitation and always knows how to make someone smile", "she is wonderful, trustful and lovely teacher who is always there' and "she teaches a in a fun way." Congratulations Ms. Salas!

High school students and staff are invited to the FCA Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 5 in Mrs. Faulkenberry's room.

Primary students were able to spend some time with the amazing illustrator and artist Danny Gordon yesterday. We enjoyed hearing all about his interactive drawing methods, and students were even able to draw along with him!




Congratulations to the Marietta High School girls powerlifting team. They were runner-up at regionals for large schools. Five girls qualified for state, Melanie Ortiz, Cece Chiffer, Jordyn Metcalf, Haley Wilkerson and Graicee Hicks. This is the highest number of qualifiers from one team in the state.


Mrs. Blevins Pre-K class studied space last week. They conducted a science experiment to see who could make their rocket travel the farthest by using straws to blow air. It was out of this world!




Marietta FFA competed in the Fresh County Ag Mechanics Show yesterday and brought home several awards including grand champion project of the show.

All of these students are qualified for the OSSAA Regional Speech Tournament that will take place in March.
Danny Gordon, famous illustrator, spent his day with our elementary students. The students were captivated with his story of how he creates his characters. Students had a lesson on drawing creatively too!

Thank you to the 7th/8th grade communication class for inviting us to see your projects. Our elementary students listened to their bobblehead presentation on a historical figure.



The high school baseball scrimmage scheduled for tomorrow at 4:30 has been moved to Marietta. Come out and support your Indians!
Congratulations to the Marietta High School Choirs today: the Show Choir is State Bound!!! We qualified for State with 6 Superior Ensembles and 7 Superior Solos. We also had 4 Excellent Ensembles and 4 Excellent Solos. The following students competing in State in April are: Ace Austin, Alexis Doby, Alexis Creasman, Brice Carlile, Eva Bucher, Kamarah Bertrand , Rebekah Alberda, Benito Maldonado, Cynthia Lopez, Haylen Lowery, Jariah Sutherland, Melanie Ortiz and Mina Hughes. Middle School students who received Excellent Ratings on Solos were Claire McGehee and Leah Barber.

High School STAR Educator for the month of February is Stacey Roach. Mrs. Roach has been in education for four years and teaching at Marietta High School for two years. Congratulations to Mrs. Roach!
