Tonight’s senior night festivities will take place in between the girls and boy’s basketball game, approximately at 7:30 pm.

Torri Mathis, Marietta high school's HealthCorps leader hosted a Martin Luther King Jr. day food drive at Marietta high school on Monday. Mrs. Mathis along with 25 sophmores and 2 juniors collected a carload of canned and non-perishable items that were donated to the Marietta food bank. Thank you to all of the Marietta residents that donated.



Marietta Public Schools will be dismissed on Monday for the honoring of Martin Luther King Day. We will resume normal class schedule on Tuesday, January 19.

Marietta high school and HealthCorps will be hosting a food drive on January 18 from 10:00 am til 3:00 pm. The food drive will benefit the Mercy Health and Love county food pantry. You may drop off your non-perishable donations in front of Marietta high school.

In an effort to expose Marietta high school students to a variety of careers and career paths, Mrs. Ramon’s computer science class had a guest speaker from Noble Research present to her class via zoom. The presenter discussed software development careers as well as demonstrated how to create their own website. Marietta high school teachers focus on career explorations, college course requirements and interests by having students complete their ICAP (individualized careers and academic plan).


Marietta High School parents, there will be a junior class parent meeting tonight at 5:30 pm in the high school library. We will be discussing the Jr./Sr. Prom. We really need your input regarding venue, fundraising etc. please make plans to be there.

Marietta high school would like to congratulate Kylie Slawson, a senior at Marietta high. She was selected to the state superintendent’s student advisory council. She will represent Marietta by advising the governor on education from a students perspective. Great job Kylie!!!

Congratulations to Mrs. Hicks, Middle School December Teacher of the Month. Mrs Hicks teaches 6th and 7th grade English/Language Arts and has taught for 22 years.
