What a great idea! We had our first "Spirit Walk" today. Our high school football 🏈 players, cheerleaders, mascot, and band walked down our halls to loud cheers by our elementary students. Great day to be a Marietta Indian!!!

Marietta Elementary welcomed the DAR today! They came to teach information about our Constitution, founding fathers, flag etiquette, and facts about America. They also gave the students their own flag and bookmark with the Preamble on it. Thank you for sharing with us.

Our Primary School GEM (Great Educators Matter) for August is Ms. Isabel Allen. This is Ms. Allen's first year here at Marietta. She teaches First Grade and is doing a great job! She works hard to do what is best for her students and has a positive attitude. She truly has a heart for teaching! Congratulations!

Second Graders learned what' it's like to be a "Rollercoaster Engineer" in the library last week. They had to create rollercoaster tracks, warning signs, and they had to name their rollercoaster. Our library assistant, Mrs. Baker, said this is the first time learning about "Kid's Dream Jobs!"
