
High School NHS members are selling Crush Grams for $3 for Valentine's Day. The purchase includes a crush pop and handwritten note. Information will be going out to students next week on how to place orders.


Our Primary School GEM for January is Ms. McCarn. This is Ms. McCarn's first year with Marietta Primary, and we are so proud to have her on our team! She teaches Pre-K and coaches softball, so she stays busy. Ms. McCarn is a dedicated teacher who works hard for her students! Congratulations!

Congratulations to our elementary staff! Each one earning a different award for going the extra mile for our students: Mrs. Fernandez, Ms. Scott, Coach Saxon, Miss Burke, and Miss Nutter. The students loved celebrating with our staff!


Students in Mrs Self's 5th grade were able to "Unscramble the Preamble" in less than 30 seconds as they learn about our government.

Marietta High School Juniors Emily Faulkenberry and Joan Vega were selected as finalists in the 2024 Youth Tour Essay Contest! Red River Valley REA sponsors the contest each year, and junior students from schools in Carter, Jefferson, Johnston, Love, and Marshall counties participate. Emily and Joan will have the opportunity to present their essays during a banquet on February 8th for a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. this summer. Congratulations and good luck to Emily and Joan!


Sophomore Haylen Lowery hard at work on his first day of OKMEA HS All-State Honor Choir. Concert is Saturday at 1:30 in Tulsa Oklahoma. This is Haylen's second year as an All-State Honor Choir member.


Congratulations to Ashlyn Lucas. Ashlyn was crowned Marietta Basketball Homecoming Queen 2024. Escorting Ashlyn is Sophomore Aden Ellison.

Emily Faulkenberry is in Stillwater today participating in FCCLA State Officer Interviews.


Freshman Brice Carlile hard at work singing and rehearsing at the OCDA All-State JH Honor Choir. Concert was held Saturday at 1:30 pm at the Oklahoma City Convention Center.

To keep everyone warm tomorrow for school, the bus and classroom heaters are turned up and running. Please dress your kiddos warm too. Students' outside exposure will be limited as well.

Today in Animal Science class students got to mimic how food is digested in a mono gastric digestive system.





Marietta band students rehearse for the South Central Oklahoma Band Directors Honor Band. The final concert will be hosted at Marietta's auditorium on Saturday at 2:30.




Marietta High School floral class did their color wheel lab today. Ms. Kamesch worked with students, mixing frosting to create the different colors of the wheel.







Fun times playing games and learning about each other as 5th grade students in Stein and Self's class play "Catch the Leader". Both the principal and assistant principal were invited to join in the game.




Congratulations to Ailyn Flores and Kaydence Brooks! They are headed to the second round of the Elks Lodge Freethrow Contest on January 27 in Ardmore! Good luck girls!



Marietta Public Schools is closed Monday, January 15, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
