Where does THE BEST secretary work? She works at Marietta Elementary. Fabiola Whittington was voted as our GEM: Great Educators Matter. (This is a cooperative vote by the communty and our staff.) She is truly the heart of our school and keeps us all going with her willingness to help and her kind, caring attitude. We are all so thankful for Fabiola!!!

You should have seen the smiles on their faces as they entered school! Our elementary office staff showed off for the 67 day of school. Students love to say "67", so we embraced it. It truly was the BEST start to our morning ever: smiles and laughter everywhere!
Students in FCS Culinary Basics class put their food handler certification to use helping the cafeteria to serve Thanksgiving lunch for all buildings.

Their poster are still in the State Competition. 2nd Place in Area and 1st Place Local; Janet Rejino. 2nd place Local; Abigail Regino, Yasmine Flores, Genesis Guerra and Sergio Garcia. 3rd Place Local; Melanie Castor, Arlin Valdez, Meighan Ballard and Ivy Whitmore.
Mrs. Presley's First Grade Class made butter today! They got to see how a liquid can turn into a solid when they shake the cream long enough. They also discussed how you have two products in the end - buttermilk and butter. They got to taste it at the end with a roll, and they talked about different flavors of butter that can be made. What a fun, interactive learning experience!
First Grade students read the book Balloons Over Broadway, created their own balloons, and then treated us to our own Balloon Parade in our hallway this morning!
Our Primary School GEM for November is Mrs. Hartman. Mrs. Hartman teaches Kindergarten and does an amazing job! She leads her Kindergarten team with a helpful, kind, and supportive spirit. She is always willing to go the extra mile to help all of her students succeed! Congratulations!

Did you know last week was National Kindness Day? Our students at MES created artwork to show kindness in honor of it. The contest showcased not only their artistic talent but also their commitment to spreading kindness in our school and community.
We have a lot of turkeys hiding out in disguise in our Primary School hallways as Thanksgiving approaches! Our students and their families are extremely talented and creative! 🦃
Our Pre-K students went on a "Bear Hunt" on Friday! We love to see how they use their imaginations every day!

The Christmas Spirit is in full swing in Mrs.Brown's Floral Design class. Students are busy crafting beautiful ornament wreaths and holiday swags to brighten the season.
FCCLA food drive donations went to Community Youth Services of Southern Oklahoma.
Marietta Elementary is helping shape the character of our students by giving back to those in need. We have collected shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, and various health/beauty care products. Each class collected these donations to give back to the Community Youth Services. Way to go! Way to spread kindness!!!
