Students in Mrs. Petersen's art class are learning about the art and culture of the Hispanic community. In celebration of Hispanic Heritage month, 4th grade is working on chalk pastel Adobe Landscapes. Their art work will then be displayed in the hall for all to enjoy!

Congratulations to Ms. Ham - the staff selected her as staff of the month. This is Ms. Ham's first year as our High School Secretary. The staff said this about her: "She is always helping both the students and the staff and never is bothered, and always has a smile on her face. She's our own personal superowman and the glue that keeps this building running for both the students and staff. " A huge thank you, Ms. Ham, for the amazing job you do! Congratulations to Ms. Olivia Carmona - students selected her as teacher of the month. This is Ms. Carmona's first year of teaching, she teaches 6th and 7th grade science. She has served as the ELL aide for the past four year. The students said this about her: "she always helps students and is very kind", she's the sweetest teacher ever", she's so awesome and patient with us" and "she is caring, helpful and always there when you need her." Great job Ms. Carmona.
