Recently, students in Marietta Primary Pre-K classes learned about different modes of transportation. Arbuckle Driving School supplied a truck, which students were able to climb inside of to see how one mode of land transportation works. Wednesday, February 12, Marietta High School powerlifters attended the Allen Powerlifting Invitational. Eight of ten Indian lifters placed in the Top 12 in their division and weight class, among them seniors Dylan Prather, left, who placed second, and Cody Hicks, right, who placed fifth. High School Choirs received all Excellent Ratings. Three ensembles "Shady Grove", "The Moon", and "Wade in the Water" received Superior Ratings (they qualify for STATE). Three Ensembles "Homeward Bound", "Give Us Hope", and "Count the Stars" received Excellent Ratings. 5 HS solos received Superior Ratings Jack O'Neal, Chris Smith, Colours Starsick, Tanasia Randle, and Mackenzie Kyle (they qualify for STATE). 8 HS Solos received Excellent Ratings Jean Vazquez, Abygail Barrientos, Alyssa Langley, Angel Follis, Emily Briggs, Timberlee Riley, Nicole Stewart, and Hollie Tanaka.
Congratulations to all the kids who participated today!!! Hard work paid off and we are proud of each and everyone for all of their dedication!

On Thursday, February 13th at 6:45 pm, Marietta Public School will hold an Indian Education Parent Advisory Committee meeting in the high school library. The purpose of the meeting is to review the contract, activities and expenditures under the JOM, Title VI, and Impact Aid school wide programs. All parents of JOM students are encouraged to attend.
We will be accepting deliveries for Valentine's Day on Thurs., Feb. 13, until noon. Please include student grade and for primary/upper, homeroom teacher. Items can be delivered to the office. Secretaries will do their best to resist eating any of the chocolate but no promises!
Boys shot put in action this morning at the indoor track meet on the OU campus- Scarbrough & Dudley.
Marietta students are practicing for an important Circle the State With Song Concert to be held next Tuesday, February 11, at 6 p.m. in the Marietta Public Schools’ Auditorium. The public is invited to attend the event, but asked to make a donation at the door. In all, 24 Marietta students from fourth through eighth grades will be participating.
Due to the likelihood of dangerous road conditions, Marietta Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, February 6th. Thank you and stay safe.

FCCLA members competed in FCCLA regional star events. Jose Garcia competed in Creed speaking 6-8, Serene Horn placed 3rd in Work Ready Table Setting 11-12 and Tori Alberda placed 3rd in work ready child care teachers aide 9-10
Kylie Slawson won a 2nd place medal. Dramatic Interpretation at Comanche high school’s drama and debate competition on Saturday. Everyone did a great job, congratulations!!!!!
