Congratulations to Ms. Julie Salas - January Middle School teacher of the month. Ms. Salas is in her third year teaching Special Education. Students said "she makes it easy to learn", "she is so kind, she helps me when I'm feeling down and she is caring for all of her students" and "she always has a positive attitude." She does an amazing job!!


Mrs. Burchfield's second-grade class worked hard to practice telling time today. They read the book, "The Grouchy Ladybug" and used it to tell time on their hand-held clocks! Hands-on learning is fun!

This week is "School Counselor Appreciation Week". Hands down Marietta Elementary has the BEST counselor, Heather McMahon!! Our school is a better place with her here💕


Our Primary School GEM for January is Mrs. Jade Stein! Mrs. Stein has been at Marietta for several years, but this is her first year teaching first grade in primary school, and she is doing an amazing job! She makes learning fun for her students and works hard to help them succeed. Congratulations!

Today, February 4, 2025 - 13 Middle School students and 12 Elementary students spanning grades 4th - 8th will represent Marietta School at the Circle the State With Song Region H festival and concert.
This year, our Circle the State Song festival and concert are being held at the Jerome Westheimer Center for Performing Arts. Our guest clinician is Mr. Jace Caldwell. Mr. Caldwell is the Director of Choral Activities for Bixby Public Schools. The doors open for the concert at 5:35pm with a $2.00 admission per adult. Children 18 and younger are free. The concert starts at 5:55pm with the awards and the concert begins at 6pm. There will be order forms available to purchase videos. Hope to see you there!

Miss Nutter's grandparents shared their wisdom of gardening with our 5th graders. They planted tomatoes seeds with the students. They also talked about tips on growing vegetables.




Our Amazing Custodians were busy last week making sure our buildings were sanitized and cleaned top to bottom so we were able to come back to a beautiful, germ free school! We appreciate all of their hard work!!

Congratulations to Zade Bone, Samuel Alvarez, and Haylen Lowery for winning three of the top five spots in the REA writing contest! They will advance to the public speaking portion of the contest on March 13th where they can win a full paid trip to Washington D.C. or a large cash prize!
