Choir

On Wednesday, October 26, 18 students from the Marietta High School Show Choir traveled to Ada to participate in the Fall Choral Contest held on the campus of East Central University.

The performance of the whole choir received an excellent rating. Additionally, six ensembles performed at the contest all receiving superior ratings.

Colours Starsick and Angel Follis performed solos which received superior ratings, and Tanasia Randle and Mackenzie Kyle’s senior solos received excellent ratings.

Overall the group was awarded 66 superior ribbons and two superior solo medals.

“This year is bittersweet for me because I’ve had some of these students since they were in kindergarten and will be losing 10 of them to graduation,” said Director Courteney Starsick. “They’ve dedicated hours to after school rehearsals and put so much work into their music. I couldn’t be more proud of their achievements!”
