Although the 2021-22 school year may be winding down, plans are already underway for the 2022-23 year, and administrators and staff at Marietta Public Schools have released enrollment information so that parents may begin planning as well. Many Marietta students will be enrolling online this year, while others will complete a more traditional process at school.

Pre-Kindergarten and New Kindergarten Students

Pre-K enrollment is for new students who will be four years old before or on September 1. For those students, there is a mandatory Pre-K screening which the child must be present for. This screening will be on May 16-19 at the school, by appointment only. Appointments may be scheduled beginning May 2 by calling the primary office at (580) 276-4494.

For kindergarten students who will be new to the district in the 2022-23 school year, they must also call the school for an enrollment appointment.

Both Pre-K and new kindergarten students who will be enrolling must have updated immunization records, birth certificate, social security number, and proof of residency. Acceptable proof of residence includes a bill from a service provider (not merely an envelope) that contains the parent/guardian’s name and service address in print, or a legal document with name and address.

For more information or questions regarding enrollment, call the primary office at (580) 276-4494.

Currently Enrolled Students of All Ages

For students who are currently enrolled in the district, school administrators have announced online enrollment, which will be going live on April 15.

Parents of returning students will access the Guardian portion of Wengage and utilize the Student Record Portal to enroll, using the following process:

  1. Review the 1st tab to update address and phone information and add or delete any persons who may access student or student information.
  2. The second tab contains enrollment documents. A recent Wengage enhancement will now automatically complete information such as student name, birthdate, address, or grade, making forms easier and quicker to complete.
  3. The final tab is for adding proof of residence, which is required yearly for all returning students. Acceptable forms of proof of residence include any water, gas, or electric bill that shows the service address on the bill, a current lease agreement listing the party’s name and physical address, or a copy of the 2021 income tax return that includes a physical address.  For bills, an envelope printed with the address is not acceptable; the entire bill, providing the full physical address where current service is received and the parent/guardian’s name must be presented. Parents may use their phone to photograph or scan as a PDF and upload in the proper place.

If parents have forgotten their user ID or password for Wengage, or experience other technical difficulties, they may reach out to a building secretary for help.

“Online enrollment will remain open until July 29,” said enrollment administrator Roberta Morgan, “but to ensure that students receive the classes they want, it’s better to enroll as soon as possible.”

Current students who are not enrolled by July 29 will make an appointment with the building secretary to complete enrollment in person.

Students who will be new to the district in the 2022-23 year will need to contact the building secretary after August 1 to complete enrollment.
