For the Student Service Project this year, Marietta High School Beta Club has chosen to
create a hygiene hub for students. This service project aims to create a healthier
student body.
The goal is to provide a quick grab bag of hygiene supplies for those students who may
not have the funds to purchase the items themselves. When hygiene is not an issue,
students will be more confident and successful.
Beta Club chose this project to promote a healthier student body and all around school
environment. For the first year, Beta Club will serve ninth through twelfth grades. We
hope to expand into the middle school and possibly elementary in the years to come.
The project is expected to be implemented by the end of February. Local health care
providers like doctors and dentists were asked to donate items. Through cooperation
with local businesses, supplies needed to build the bags were donated.
Beta Club has placed posters and signs to advertise the Hygiene Hub in locker rooms,
restrooms, and on the school social media page. Any student can come by and pick up
a bag.
