Marietta Public Schools District Librarian Robin Mayes has announced that the

Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the elementary’s library media center September 30

through October 3, providing a great opportunity to build students’ home libraries with

new books.

According to Mayes, the easiest way to allow students to shop the book fair

independently is to create an eWallet, which makes it easy for parents, grandparents,

and others to add funds.

For full details about creating an eWallet, consult the school’s book fair homepage at

https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/mariettaelementaryschool1.

Creating a wallet also provides the opportunity to provide help through Share the Fair, a

program that supports students who might need help buying books.

“More than ever, we need to get students reading,” said Mayes. “Studies prove that

children with more books at home have higher-level reading skills and attain more years

of education overall.”
