Online enrollment for returning students in Marietta Public Schools opened on July 14.

For Pre-K and students who are new to the district, beginning July 24, parents/guardians should call their child’s site to make an appointment for in-person enrollment or login information. Use the district number, (580) 276-9444, and follow the prompts for the appropriate site.

Parents will not need to worry about purchasing school supplies for their students in Pre-K through eighth grades. The district will be purchasing and providing necessary supplies for students in those grades. They may need to buy a backpack but should check with their child’s site before doing so. Nap mats may also be purchased on Walmart’s website and on Amazon, if online shopping is preferable.

The only exception to the supply list is for Pre-K students, whose parents will need to purchase a nap mat. KinderMats are available in Wal-Mart now, but typically sell out in a hurry, so parents who want to buy one in store are advised to purchase one as soon as they’re able. They can also be ordered online.

To enroll students at any of the district schools, parents or guardians must provide the following items:

Completed enrollment forms or new student applications

Student social security number (provided at first year enrollment)

Proof of residency

Birth certificate (provided at first year enrollment)

Updated immunization record

Legal documents (custody, guardianship, adoption, name change, etc.)

New students who are transferring from another school should also provide:

Withdrawal form issued by previous school (if enrolling during the school year)

Transcripts

Acceptable proof of residency documentation includes gas, water, electric bills, advalorem tax statement, local agreements of contracts for purchase or lease of housing, income tax returns, notes or mortgage statements, and contracts or rental agreements.

Telephone bills, internet bills, driver’s licenses, cable bills, and checks are not acceptable proof of residency documentation.
