“I’m incredibly proud of the weeks of hard work these students put in to be prepared for
this tournament!” said Coach Alicia Harris. “I'm also proud of the positive examples they
are to everyone around them. They're good people that I'm proud to know!”
Traveling with the team as a support system were Amanda Faulkenberry, who drove the
bus and chaperoned, along with Jacob Carpenter and Megan Gambel, both former
members of the Marietta Speech Team, who judged the tournament as representatives
of Marietta.
The team will be attending tournaments in Ada and Seminole before the OSSAA
Regional Speech Tournament, scheduled for March 22 and 23.
