FCCLA

Members of the Marietta High School FCCLA chapter participated in the 2023 Oklahoma FCCLA Take AIM Conference, held on October 4 at the Meridian Technology Center South Campus in Guthrie.

Take AIM stands for Active and Involved Members and is open to younger FCCLA members, encouraging them to be involved in the organization, chapter, and community. Leadership and team building activities helped members see that they can become outstanding leaders in their high school careers and later in life.

Students learned about team building, communication, and prioritizing responsibilities. Additionally, chapter advisor Amanda Faulkenberry had the opportunity to attend professional development sessions about the newly revised Families First National Program, which focuses on fostering healthy families.

Chapter members attending from MHS were Addison Jackson, Ian Dehaoyas, Izabella Fernandez, and Elaina Avirneni.

“I really enjoyed Take AIM because we got to make new friends and learn about growth mindset,” said Fernandez. “My favorite part was the speaker. He was fun and I learned a lot.”
