The All-Star Preps Best of the Arbuckles Sports Banquet was held May 23 at the Ardmore Convention Center. Sponsored by The Ardmoreite, the banquet recognizes area student athletes for their contribution to various high school sports.

Marietta High School students invited to the banquet included Amanda Flores, Ashlyn Lucas Douglass, Austen McQueen, Ayden Jones, Brandy Palomino, Draden Reynolds, Jaden McQueen, Jared Kaminski, Jaylynn Hartman, Jessica Bates, Joley Hayden, Karson Chambers, Keeper Cox, Luis Garcia, Madison Torres, Madyson Hicks, Paisley McKinney, Reagan Denham, Sergio Gomez, Tanasia Randle, Timberlee Riley, Will Laws, Wyatt Vinson, and Zippora Hill.

Several attending students were honored by being named to the All-Ardmoreite team.

They were Reagan Denham for cheer, basketball, and track; Madison Torres for basketball and track; Amanda Flores and Jessica Bates for track; Ashlyn Lucas Douglass for basketball, Austen McQueen for track; Jaylynn Hartman for softball; Will Laws for track and cross country; Jared Kaminski for football; Jaden McQueen for cross country and track; and Madysen Hicks, Zippora Hill, and Paisley McKinney for cheer.

Additionally, Wyatt Vinson was named to the All-Ardmoreite team for cross country and was named the Cross Country Male Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row.

“We’re super happy for our athletes to be invited to this event and be recognized for all of their hard work throughout the year. They are very deserving,” said Coach Tanica Anderson, “And we couldn’t be prouder of Wyatt Vinson for being named the Cross Country Athlete of the Year. He’s an all-around good kid and receiving the award two years in a row just shows all of his hard work and determination.”
