At the regular monthly meeting of the Board of Education for Marietta Public Schools, the board gave its approval for several new hires.

Joining the high school staff as a Chemistry and Biology teacher will be Stephanie Miller, who taught this year at Springer Public Schools. Coming from Ardmore to serve as a high school mathematics teacher and head softball coach will be Kevin Parsons. Also entering the high school staff will be Kenneth Barnes. Barnes comes from Ryan and will be teaching history or science, depending on the schedule, along with serving as the high school boys’ head basketball coach.

New to the middle school next year will be Andrea Snow, who will be teaching reading as the middle school. Another new face in the middle school will be library aide Cathy Roberts.

In the elementary, Jade Stein, who currently serves as an elementary library aide, will be teaching in the elementary beginning in the 2021-22 school year.
