After a successful inaugural run, Marietta Public Schools is proud to announce the return of the Ronnie Moore Invitational Tournament sponsored by the Chickasaw Nation.
Tournament games will be held beginning Thursday, December 19 and culminating with the championship games on Saturday, December 21.
The tournament pays tribute to longtime school board member and avid Marietta sports fan Moore, who passed away in August of 2018.
Teams participating in this year’s tournament are Thackerville, Healdton, Turner, Madill, Springer, Dickson, and Marietta.
Athletic Director and boys’ head coach Jared Messer is excited to be hosting the tournament again this year.
“We’re looking forward to providing local basketball fans with some great games to watch,” he said. “We feel like this tournament is good for our kids and good for our community, as well as being a good way for us to remember a man who meant so much to our school.”
